Insomniac Won't Make More Resistance Games

Posted on Friday, January 27 @ 00:04:45 Eastern by

Although Insomniac Games had said previously that Resistance 3 was the trilogy finale for them, they never so explicitly said that they would never touch the franchise they created again... that is, until yesterday, when news broke that Ted Price had revealed in an interview that they wouldn't make anymore "Resistances".

But why?

That was the question on everyone's mind after yesterday's news. But rather than address the media, Insomniac CEO Ted Price decided to address the fans directly via video on Youtube answering that elusive question: Just why are Insomniac moving on from Resistance?

There you have it. Resistance will live on, but Insomniac will wash its hands of the series to focus on Overstrike and other projects, while Sony and Nihilistic will take the reins of the franchise they bore on the PS3.
