Is A Killer Instinct Reboot Coming?

The next issue of Official Xbox Magazine is teasing something I'd be very excited for. The "Next Month" section of the magazine states that:

A KILLER SEQUEL: Must-read first details of a truly spectacular reboot

... is on the way. Reboot? Killer? Don't f*** with me OXM. Adding fuel to the fire is German games magazine M! Games that teases that the "Xbox 360 [is] on fire: the four biggest exclusive franchises return."

I'm not necessarily sure that these two articles relate to each other. I'm actually thinking that the German magazine is talking about Halo, Halo, Halo, and Fable. Still, wishful thinking is a common practice in this industry, and I'll be no different.

    Hopefully they do an HD remake that stays on xbox but do a full on reboot for both consoles following it.

    Are you ****ing kidding me? I've been waiting for anything on this for like 15 years, then the one day I have a Dentist appointment, this **** happens? I'm going to bash out my ****ing teeth now so this doesn't happen again.

    I have horrible memories of Killer Instinct, I still have nightmares of playing against the computer, then some guy pops in a coin, selects a character, then we fight. Well, more like it says fight, then he does a 75-hit combo and I'm dead. No thanks, if I want to get thrashed that badly, I'll go play Starcraft against some Koreans.

    The kids with the 7 pages of notes in their back pocket, theyd put in their tokens, size you up, then unload a combo on the machine and walk away while it finished killing you. And yet I still miss it.

    Bring this goal to fruition then throw in some Primal Rage and Clay Fighter just for good measure. I still have KI and PR for the SNES lying around here somewhere.

    Hopefuly is Killer Instinct does come back, it will be in combo with other fighting games. Killer Instinct vs. Mortal Kombat would be a natural success.
