Jojo's Bizarre Adventure HD Confirmed?

Posted on Wednesday, July 11 @ 11:58:31 Eastern by

Oh, Capcom. You're really digging deep now.

XboxAchievements have revealed 12 achievements for Jojo's Bizarre Adventure HD, which I suppose would be an HD remake for the quirky fighter by Capcom that released in arcades in 1998.

Despite coming way out of left field, the game's Darkstalkers-inspired graphics would look stunning in HD. So yep, I'm already sold. (The screenshot above isn't of the HD, by the way.)

The list of achievements also reveal that players will be able to upload replay data and will have online ranked matches.

Now only if they actually remade Darkstalkers, my life would be complete. (Would mentioning Mega-Man be a low blow?)

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure? I remember watching that anime *15* years ago, back in the mid-late 90s. Would an HD remaster of such an old game for such an old series really be worth the time and expense? I can't imagine that there is a big audience for it.

...you do know this is based on the longest running manga in publication right? I mean you do know the manga was like running five years before the game came out... AND STILL IS TODAY!

    I say it's still relevant.

The property isn't necessarily relevant: this was an undeniably fantastic fighting game when it first came out, and it still is today. Bringing it to modern audiences and adding online play is the perfect way to bring a really great game out of obscurity (like the other games released for the CPS3 board, it bombed).

    Dear capcom,

    TAKE ALL MY MONEY!

    Signed Lien.

PS: Now about making a Stone Ocean version? Actually screw that, a Steel ball run version!
