Kojima Productions Expands, Opens New Studio in Los Angeles

Posted on Wednesday, September 12 @ 11:33:19 Eastern by Alex_Osborn

Kojima Productions is expanding, as a new branch of the studio opens in Los Angeles. The news was first outed via a job listing on Gamasutra for a gameplay programmer.

Kojima Productions, the world famous game studio within the Konami group, who recently celebrated its 25th anniversary of Metal Gear Solid franchise, is now looking to expand its team. Kojima Productions are looking for skillful creators, senior programmers, artists and game developers with a passion for making amazing video games.

Whether this branch was created to aid in the development of Ground Zeroes remains to be seen, but something tells me it's for a different project entirely. Kojima has mentioned in the past that he still plans to create a third Zone of the Enders eventually, and with the news that Ground Zeroes is but a prequel to Metal Gear Solid 5, there are plenty of possible projects this new studio could have on its plate.

What do you think they'll be working on? Provide your two cents in the comments below.

So that explains the job openings awhile ago.
