Last Story Pushed Back To Friday August 17th

Posted on Wednesday, August 15 @ 11:10:41 Eastern by Keri_Honea

According to Gamestop, The Last Story will now release on August 17th instead of yesterday, August 14th. If you planned on picking it up yesterday, you already knew it was postponed, but at least now there is an official release date. Polygon explained that Gamestop was not told until this morning about the new release date. Conveniently, publisher XSEED has said that August 14th was just the ship date, never the release date.

In other retailer news, Amazon.com claims that they won't be shipping the game for 1-3 weeks, including preorders. Hopefully that's just an overestimation on Amazon's part, but if I was a buyer, I'd be pretty upset.
