League of Legends Now Available For Mac Users

Posted on Friday, March 1 @ 12:30:53 Eastern by Alex_Osborn

PC gamers have been able to enjoy the incredible free-to-play MOBA that is League of Legends for quite some time now, leaving those loyal to Apple's platform waiting patiently on the sidelines. That ends now, as developer Riot Games has announced that League of Legends is now available for Mac.

"Going native on Mac has been a big goal for us, and we're really excited to offer the same experience across both platforms," the studio explained. "The Mac client does everything that the PC client does, meaning you'll get all future features, bug fixes and new content on the same schedule as PC players, but on your native OS."

Best yet, the game will support cross-platform play, so PC gamers will be able to join up with the Mac-loyal buddies and vice versa. Mac users can download the client right here.

Now when someone takes 10 minutes to load they're going to be thoughtlessly accused of using a Mac, but they probably are anyways.

The new iMacs would be able to run the game perfectly. The older stuff though...not so sure.

Well even my netbook runs the game perfectly, it just takes forever to load before a match was my point. And Macs suck, that was my other point.

Running it on an Imac and it works perfect. Riot Games is one hell of a company.
