LATEST FEATURES Being A Console Is Actually Xbox One's Worst Asset
Microsoft's newest console has lots of different features, but video games might hold the device back from the software giant's true intentions.

Leaked Footage of Canceled PS3 Game Eight Days

Posted on Monday, August 15 @ 08:35:23 Eastern by

Early in the PlayStation 3's lifecycle, Sony London Studios was working on a PS3 exclusive called Eight Days. The project was abruptly canceled along with a new installment of The Getaway.

New (well, old) footage has leaked onto the 'net of Eight Days in action. I looks a bit like Kane and Lynch meets Uncharted or Gears of War. It's a bit rough around the edges, but the footage is from 2008 and was taken very early on in the game's development process. Check it out:

Sony's London Studio has to be working on something other than Eypet an Singstar and that unannounced Move game. Please let it be this, or The Getaway.

The very first part is opera. Yuck! But after that it’s good.

Destructible environments are something I've wished worked out better in games. Usually it just turns out to be some things that break when you shoot them, and they break the same way every time. I want to see a game where you can go inside a building and it seems real, but if you shoot it with a tank, parts of it will collapse in a realistic and non-scripted way.

If that last scene was actual gameplay, this one might have pulled it off, but I'm guessing it was a cutscene. I think I might have to wait for PS5 or xbox 20X6 for the effects I'm hoping for.
