After all these years, and growing up with Windows 3.1, I have seen an entire evolution of computers and software. Touch screens and large resolutions were a pipe dream just 15 years ago. Now it's the norm. Going from a Packard Bell (yes, before HP) that couldn't run 3D Ultra Mini...

Leaked Super Smash Bros. 3DS Screen Reveals Duck Hunt Character

Posted on Monday, August 25 @ 17:00:00 PST by

Someone with access to the Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS rom has apparently leaked a photo of 3DS hardware showing the full character roster available for players on the handheld with the duck-and-dog duo from NES classic Duck Hunt in tow.

While we've been delighted to hear about many of the characters in the next Super Smash Bros., this particular character may have been added for two reasons:
  • Someone at Nintendo's event asked if the developers were going to reintroduce Ice Climbers as a playable "pair" of characters.
  • Duck Hunt is awesome and Nintendo want to offer an NES Zapper peripheral designed specifically around what's sure to be a unique moveset.
Kotaku has more information on how the leak surfaced, but you should also check out the new gameplay that Alex shared earlier today. Each video has footage of new characters Shulk and Bowser Jr. among combat with others.
