Leaked Video Reveals SSFIV Arcade Edition for Consoles

Posted on Thursday, April 7 @ 09:42:38 Eastern by

Last week, we posted about a GameStop listing for Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition coming to consoles. But that was just an April Fool's joke (yeah, we're assholes like that). We chose that for a prank, mainly because we knew it was plausible considering Capcom's track record with re-releasing re-releases and slapping a Super, Turbo or some other uber-cool sounding adjective to make it appear to be fresh.

We weren't to far off, either. Capcom is indeed bringing the Arcade Edition of Super Street Fighter IV to home consoles. However, they must have taken our advice on how to kick more ass, as they're releasing the content as DLC rather than repackaging it as a new retail release and charging us full price all over again.

The announcement was revealed in a leaked trailer coming out of Capcom's Captivate event. Unfortunately, the video has since been taken down from Youtube. The 4-minute long trailer confirmed that Yang, Yun, Oni and Evil Ryu will all make their way to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

An official announcement and reveal should be coming any day now, and we'll be sure to update this article when it happens.
