Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII's Debut Trailer Will Leave You Disappointed [Update]

[UPDATE]It appears that the trailer was released early and has since been pulled.

Square Enix has been disappointing JRPG fans for many years now, and judging by the debut trailer forLightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII,it doesn't look like that trend is about to end any time soon. The video above (currently aGameTrailersexclusive) has been embedded above for your viewing pleasure.

Was watching that clip as painful for you as it was for me? Perhaps I'm far too cynical, as having witnessed the decline of theFinal Fantasyfranchise over the past few years has clearly left me jaded. Either way, share your thoughts in the comments below.
