Lionhead Teases Fable HD For Xbox 360 [Update: Confirmed As Fable Anniversary]

[Update]Microsoft has just confirmed thata high definition of the 2004 RPG classic is in fact real and is titledFable Anniversary. The game will be an HD remake of the originalFableand will include the additionalcontent fromThe Lost Chapters. As expected, it will also include Achievements, as well as SmartGlass support.

Fable Anniversarywill be coming to the Xbox 360 as is evidenced by the box art you see below.

The game is set to launch sometime this holiday season.

[Original]It appears that the team over at Lionhead Studios has been working on an HD remake of the original Fable, which launched on the Xbox Oneback in 2004.

On the company's blog, a new post teases the upcoming high-def release with a trailer (below) along with the caption: "Here’s a sneak peak at a little something we’ve been working on…"



You'll notice at the end of the teaser is the Xbox 360 logo, nottheXbox One. During the company's recent console reveal, Microsoft did say that it plans to support the Xbox 360 for quite some time as well.
