LittleBigPlanet PS Vita Acquires Visual Enhancing Pre-Release Update

Posted on Sunday, September 16 @ 11:26:03 Eastern by Jonathan_Leack

LittleBigPlanet PS Vita is less than a week from being unleashed on PS Vita owners worldwide, and it's already the recipient of a major game-affecting patch.

A version 1.01 update for LittleBigPlanet PS Vita is now available for download. The file size is 32MB and it includes all of the following:
  • Minor level fixes
  • Slight changes to some menus
  • Improved performance and graphics
  • Activity stream now easier to use
  • Fixes to skill rewards on level badges
  • Fixes to skill rewards when copying levels to My Moon
We saw similar pre-release updates for both LittleBigPlanet and LittleBigPlanet 2, although their respective patches were more tailored toward network stability.

Our very own Daniel_Bischoff awarded the game a very high mark of 4.5, and along with these new adjustments it's easily one of the finest the Vita has to offer.

So funny how, if this were an FPS, there'd be so much backlash for a day one patch.

Not really. Developers have tight deadlines to work to. If they had put this update on the cartridge then the release date would have been pushed back. With a day one patch doing the same job it means that we get our game on time and we get the best quality experience. If they had made us pay for the patch it would be a different story.

That...didn't really have anything to do with what I said. Usually, most shooters that have a day one patch are criticized for it, no matter what it does. You never pay for patches, lol.

    I've not seen that.
