Look Under The Hood Of The Next Sim City

Posted on Tuesday, March 20 @ 17:18:49 Eastern by

All the new Sim City is making me do is play the old Sim City. So until I kick the Sim City 2000 habit I've managed to pick back up like it was 1995, I'll have to settle for trailers like this... that make...

*yawn*

Sim City (2013) sound so boring! Seriously, watching other people play Sim City is about as entertaining as watching paint dry (wow! Look at it change colors!). One time I accidentally deleted my cousin's metropolis. That was the most entertainment I'd ever had with someone else's game of Sim City. I felt so bad... but not as bad as my cousin felt.

It was embarassing for my aunt who had to talk my cousin down from like the tallest goddam tree in the neighborhood, all while I had no clue what I did wrong. Wow, check out those factory building graphics!

It's amazing how the Sims have evolved, if a dev did this same game but with very realistic graphics it would be a gamer's dope.

Can't they just make an HD Sim Ants. Srsly.

Also, it's starting to sound really convoluted like Dwarf Fortress (not quite on the same level).

    People!

Man, I always found that Sim City lacked a particular strategic element that could define gameplay as winning or losing. While there was always growth to some extent, it would usually cap out definitively and cease to grow for no particular reason, with or without further development with new zones or other buildings.

Thumbs up if you got the Mario-faced no-water map on the SNES console of Sim City (1)! Hellz, YA! Some of those challenges were easy-peasy.
I also managed to get a meltdown in the first year of a new game - which I've never seen or duplicated before or since (except in the meltdown scenario).

Haha! This is probably the most retarded article I've read that Google News had unfortunately indexed. If you think SimCity has no "strategic element" or is "boring", it's simply because you're playing it all wrong.

I feel bad for your cousin, danielrbischoff. One large and well-managed city on SimCity 2000 could have probably taken hundreds or even thousands of hours for a kid to build. Then you just go deleting it, and say -- wut i do? I bet the only thing you could do with that game is setup a tornado. Go play CoD ******* /rofl

A stupid article deserves a stupid comment. Learn to extract the essence. I bet you have never played SimCity, that's why you obviously can't relate to what I'm saying.
