LucasArts Working on an Open-World RPG

Posted on Tuesday, August 23 @ 15:25:19 Eastern by Sebastian_Moss
According to a recent job listing, LucasArts is developing an “Open World RPG”.

While my money is on a new Star Wars game, it could easily be a new IP or even an Indiana Jones game (I doubt it). The job listing states that LucasArts is seeking a gameplay engineer to work on an open-world RPG, but sadly, no other information is given.

Platforms aren't stated, but the description says that “Console development experience [is] required (At least one title),”, so it is likely that the game will be a multiplatform release.

We'll be sure to keep an eye on this and will hopefully find out more details sooner than later.

Grim Fandango: RPG. I kept forgetting that they made other games that are based on Star Wars or Indiana Jones.

Who cares what it is? Star Wars, Indiana Jones, or a new IP doesn’t matter to me, just so long as it is a fun game to play, and full of content. A Bethesda like open world RPG for Star Wars or Indiana Jones would be fan-FUCKING-tastic IMO.

Of course. Every true Indiana Jones fan won't even acknowledge that movie as ever happening.
