Mass Effect 3 PC Requirements Take the Relay to Frys for an Upgrade

If you've already resigned yourself to using Origin for PC games like Battlefield 3, then it can't hurt to take a peek at what Mass Effect 3's Origin-required PC outing will need to run smoothly on your rig.

Bioware released both minimum and required specs for Mass Effect 3 today in reference to the Mass Effect 3 demo that'll be available on Februaray 14th. That means that these specs are tailored to the demo, but you can bet it'll be plenty similar to the full release:

Minimum Spec:

OS - Windows XP SP3/Vista SP1, Win 7
CPU: 1.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo (equivalent AMD CPU)
RAM: 1GB for XP / 2GB RAM for Vista/Win 7
Disc Drive: 1x speed
Hard Drive: 2.5 GB of free space
Video: 256 MB* (with Pixel Shader 3.0 support)
*Supported chipsets: NVIDIA 7900 or better; ATI X1800 or better. Please note that NVIDIA GeForce 9300, 8500, 8400, and 8300 are below minimum system requirements, as are AMD/ATI Radeon HD3200, HD3300, and HD4350. Updates to your video and sound card drivers may be required.
Sound: DirectX 9.0c compatible
DirectX: DirectX 9.0c August 2009 (included)

Recommended Spec:

    These specs are actually basically the same as ME2. Besides this uses a lets hard drive space and a slightly higher spec gfx card is recommended.

    I was hoping (as I always do) for better graphics, but this is a console port. So meh. Gameplay will still be awesome!

    On the plus side, I can probably run this and SWTOR, at the same time!

    My Intel i7 2600 with 16gb DDR3 ram and a GeForce GTX 570 will be just fine then.

    Love it when people respond almost solely so they can post what they have in their PC.

    And yeah, I'll be able to run it but...Why bother? All my previous saves are on the 360 :/.

    All my saves are on 360 as well despite the fact that I now have a laptop to run this game. Oh well...can't ditch all that effort!
