Max Payne 3 Gets Free Content August, 5 DLC Turned Into 3

Posted on Tuesday, July 31 @ 16:52:29 Eastern by

Rockstar has given some extra details on the free August DLC pack for Max Payne 3 as well as a reorganization of the five remaining DLC packs.

The free Disorganized Crime Pack adds the Hoboken Rooftops multiplayer map, with some additional options for Score Attack including Explosive Rounds, Lone Wolf AI for higher difficulty enemies, and Headshots Only.

The five previously announced DLC packs have now turned into three, with the New York Minute Co-Op Pack and Trickle Down Economics Map Pack spread between the remaining three packs. Specifically, the Deathmatch Made In Heaven Mode Pack has now received the Co-Op content.

This leaves the Hostage Negotiation Map Pack for September, Painful Memories Map Pack for October, and the Deathmatch Made In Heaven Mode Pack for November. Each of these DLC packs will be 800 MSP / $9.99.

Is this because the game didn't sell well or something?

I actually liked the single player but the multiplayer seems a little flat. Mutliplayer environments seems bland as well.
(that and the story line is a bit of a dog chasing its own tale.)
