Medal of Honor: Warfighter Doesn't Include Bin Laden Mission

Medal of Honor: Warfighter Producer Greg Goodrich says that the mission to kill Osama Bin Laden is "family business" to the Tier 1 Operative who are the subject of the latest line of Medal of Honor games:

That's not our story to tell. It's been an interesting exercise learning what's okay and what's not okay [to portray in the game].

As much as EA and Danger Close want to respect the relationships they've made with the armed forces frontlines, I think it might actually hold them back in their mission to "beat" Activision and Call of Duty.

Honestly, if you're going to talk about Medal of Honor you have to be thinking of the competition. I doubt EA would bother with rebooting the series if it weren't to fill in the gaps developing the next Battlefield: Bad Company game.

Warfighter will also employ Battlefield 3's Frostbite 2.0 and offer players multiplayer options (developed by Danger Close and not DICE this time out) and some form of co-operative support.

    Yup, exactly what I was alluding to, not that calling the opposing force "The Talliban" was going to sell a million units anyway.

    Why does EA need two modern-day military FPS franchises? Medal of Honor (or Battlefied) should go do the Civil War or something. World War 1, Korea, or the 2843 war against the mole-people of Kragnar-6 would be better than another game based in the present Middle East.

    Show me some elite Scottish highlanders fighting against the English or the Japanese fighting against the Chinese or the Spanish-American War or go back to WWII but let me be the Australians or that battalion of Japanese-Americans who kicked ass in Europe even though their families were in interment camps in the US.
