After all these years, and growing up with Windows 3.1, I have seen an entire evolution of computers and software. Touch screens and large resolutions were a pipe dream just 15 years ago. Now it's the norm. Going from a Packard Bell (yes, before HP) that couldn't run 3D Ultra Mini...

Meet Tess, The Latest Cast Member Of The Last of Us

Posted on Friday, December 14 @ 10:30:48 PST by Alex_Osborn

Naughty Dog's latest trailer for The Last of Us—which first aired at the VGAs—provided gamers with an early look at Tess, a female friend of Joel's who clearly plays a major role in the overall narrative.

Eric Monacelli, the studio's community strategist, shared a few details about this spunky survivor. Not only is she Joel's partner in crime, she's willing to do what most people can't in the name of survival.

"Partners with Joel, they have become known within the criminal underworld for their ruthlessness. Street smart and confident, Tess is a savvy strategist and negotiator. Her ability to generate intelligent plans to secure the contraband for their trade is second to none," Monacelli explained on the PlayStation Blog.

Needless to say, Tess and Joel share a strong bond; however, Monacelli goes on to note that "secretly, she questions whether Joel shares the same emotions that she feels for him." Perhaps we'll be seeing a bit of romantic drama in The Last of Us?

Annie Wersching is the voice actor behind Tess. See her in action below.
