Metal Gear Rising Demo Slashes Its Way to PSN And Xbox Live Next Week

Posted on Tuesday, January 15 @ 07:35:52 Eastern by Alex_Osborn

Konami has just announced that the demo for PlatinumGames action-heavy Metal Gear spinoff will hit the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Marketplace next week on January 22nd.

If for whatever reason waiting until next Tuesday is too difficult, you can play the three-stage demo right now with the purchase of Zone of the Enders HD Collection. Still, if you've held off on purchasing it this long, I can't imagine waiting another week would be too much to ask.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance launches on February 19th for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Are you planning on picking up this game at launch? Let us know in the comments below.

I'm there with you. Still havent played MGS4. Was hoping that, by now, it would be a downloadable title on PSN. But sadly, it is not. I've looked around in stores when I remember it, but, yet again, my dreams are squashed by the cold realities of struggling retail. ha. But seriously, definitely gotta play MGS4 and will check out Risings' demo next week. (and I honestly dont have high hopes about MGR, but I will post about that after I try the demo)

At least they finally added achievements? But yeah, I ended up ordering it online since I couldn't find it anywhere.

I have little interest in this game. It does have Metal Gear in the title so I'll pick it up when the price drops, that way I still have all the Metal Gear games that have been released.

Yeah, it's going to be very different. I'm actually pleased with the development studio switch for that very reason though. Kojima played with the idea, it wasn't working, but let the masters of high-speed action take it. As a Metal Gear and Platinum Games fan, combining them sounds good to me. However, I appreciate where you and others come from as well.
