Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes Demonstration Footage
Posted on Saturday, September 1 @ 16:49:57 Eastern by Anthony Severino
The announcement of Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes earlier this week had the industry buzzing, but we couldn't see for ourselves why. Now we can.
Konami has just released the 11-minute demonstration, all in real-time running on Kojima's new Fox Engine, for everyone to bask in its glory. Sit back, grab some popcorn and enjoy.
Wow, and it's been said directly on a couple of other sites that this will be a current gen title...but being a Kojima Productions game, expect delay...after delay...after...sigh.
My goodness, they seriously need to include those Japanese dubs and subtitles in the English version. English speaking actors always have that tendancy to sound like they put cotton balls in their mouth when they try to sound like a badass. The only reason the Snake voice actor guy (Hayter or something?) gets a pass is because that is the way Kurt Russell sounded in Escape from New York.
industry buzzing *snorts* welcome to what PC's have been able to do for years now, if anyone bothered to put forth the effort instead of crapping out a billion console ports to them always. (dont get me wrong it looks good but still... Welcome to DX 11 people after years of it already being out, with consoles lagging over DX 10 completely god i cant wait till DX 9 dies a horrible horrible death)
DX11 games don't even look this good. This is the best looking thing I have ever seen. The only thing that can come close is Crysis 2, but even that doesn't look like this. I know PC gamers brag about their DX11, but seriously, this engine tops even that.
I know it's not a game engine! I'm sure that this can't be done on current gen consoles. If it is, then Kojima Productions are wizards. If this is using DX11...then this is the best use so far.
