Grid 2 surprised me. I was going through the motions, getting used to the cars and their handling, when suddenly something happened. I started having fun.

Undead Lab's zombie-infested action title has finally hit XBLA. Is it worth a few of your precious Microsoft Points, or should you whack it over the head with a two-by-four and continue on your merry way?

E3: PC or rather about the lack of it
By Starling

E3 2013 has been very silent for me. There's tons of media, but most of it buzzes past my ears without them catching the important keyword that my ears are fine tuned to receive: "PC" or "Personal Computer". Microsoft, Sony, EA and Ubisoft have all shown their cards...

Metal Gear Solid HD Collection: Now with Even More Metal Gear

Posted on Friday, August 12 @ 08:41:13 Eastern by

Metal Gear Solid HD Collection features some of the best Metal Gear Solid titles to release in the past decade. Titles like Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of the Patriots, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, and the PSP's Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. But wait, there's more!

If you act now (or later, well, actually it has to be later since the game isn't out yet), we'll give you this special bonus offer absolutely free. That's right, because the version of Snake Eater included in the HD Collection is the Subsistence version, you get the MSX Metal Gear games, Metal Gear, and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, for free! And you don't even have to pay separate postage and processing.

For our Japanese customers, you also get a voucher to download the PSOne Classic Metal Gear Solid from the PlayStation Store.

Fine print: We are in no way, shape or form selling any of these Metal Gear titles nor the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection. These titles will be published by Konami at a date yet to be determined. This post was written simply for your enjoyment and should not be consider an actual sales pitch. We can understand why you thought that to be the case, Every time anyone sees a picture of Billy Mays, they instantly take out their wallets. That beard of his (R.I.P. Billy!) just made you want to spend, spend, spend. Now, the Billy Mays wannabe Anthony Sullivan has taken over his commercials, but he just can't do it like Billy did. I hope when I reach the pearly gates, Billy Mays will be there waiting to sell me some OxyClean.

That beard of his didn't make me so much as want to spend, it made me want to change the channel, usually.

so psyched for this!!! MGS3 was the biggest reason I wanted backwards compatibility on my PS3.
the one thing that bothers me (aside from the fact I won't get the MGS1 voucher) is that the MGS1 version is going to be the PSX version. Why not do the HD version of Twin Snakes?!?!

Because it was released for the gamecube so there's not a whole lot they can do to put it on the 360 or PS3.

I dont see how it being a gamecube game makes any difference, its not like nintendo owns every game released on there system, I think its 100x more likely to do with the fact that the game wasnt made by konami.

That's actually how it is, to an extent. That's how exclusivity works.

But yeah, probably because it wasn't made by konami.

Im sorry, but the fact that it was an exclusive doesnt mean nintendo has ANY rights over it, unless they have a contract that gives the rights over the game, which I doubt they do, and the fact that it was exclusive doesnt mean they do either.

There is a contract involved whenever a game is released on any platform, and yeah it's quite likely that the particular contract stated that Twin Snakes could only be released on the Gamecube. Yeah, over time these contracts are negotiable but I really have no idea what you're basing your info on.

Sorry to butt in, but I have no idea what either of you are basing your info on. It's complete and utter speculation from both of you unless you've been involved or actually know how contracts between publishers/developers and console companies work. Which you obviously don't.

The clear reason they aren't doing it is because the Gamecube disc is too small.

So, Konami is planning on selling me a bunch of games that I already own. For some reason that I can't quite put my finger on, I don't see that working out for them.
