E3: PC or rather about the lack of it

E3 2013 has been very silent for me. There's tons of media, but most of it buzzes past my ears without them catching the important keyword that my ears are fine tuned to receive: "PC" or "Personal Computer". Microsoft, Sony, EA and Ubisoft have all shown their cards...

Metro: Last Light Short Film

Posted on Thursday, May 24 @ 10:11:03 Eastern by Keri_Honea
Why settle for any old game trailer when you can watch a brilliant live action short film about the game? It may be all in Russian, but there's no way you won't understand what is happening. It's incredibly powerful and has enticed me to reconsider my "meh" stance on the Metro series.

Well done, THQ. Well done.

But don't listen to just me; see the Metro: Last Light film for yourself.

Every time someone brings out a debate on either fallout 3 or fallout new vegas is the best apocalypse wasteland game, i always swing by at the table and sat that metro is 10 times better then these two games combined and it's made by russians... to which they always both blink and say "Metro? Sounds like a dumb game!"

That's when i throw the table on the ground.

I read the first book in the series, but to my knowledge they haven't translated the 2nd book into english yet. Metro 2033 was one of the best sic-fi books i've read. its conversion to a game wasn't the great though. It was fun and the DLC for ranger mode was cool, but overall it was pretty linear and had some bugs that detracted from it a lot. and the changes made to the storyline between the book and game made it far less compelling. So I have mixed feelings about the sequel, but hopefully with the development of a story made solely for the game it could be better.
