Microsoft Gears Up For Halo 4, Launches Spartan Ops Trailer

Posted on Tuesday, October 30 @ 12:00:36 Eastern by Alex_Osborn

Psyched for the launch of Halo 4? Well you should be! We're just one week away from the release of 343 Industries' sci-fi first-person shooter and the hype level is through the roof.

One of the exciting new additions to the franchise is Spartan Ops, a multiplayer mission-based mode that expands the Halo 4 story. Not only does the game launch with five missions ready to go, 343i plans to continue to release new missions on a consistent basis for free after its release. With ten weeks worth of content and five new missions per week, gamers are getting a whopping fifty missions in the first season.

Halo 4 launches next Tuesday, November 6th, exclusively for the Xbox 360. For a full rundown on the entire series before the game's release, be sure to check out our comprehensive series retrospective.

OK, that looks pretty cool. I'm really more psyched for multiplayer than anything else. Master... Chef? Who's he?

Yeah that might have been the most enjoyable trailer yet. Or I'm just so amped up for the game at this point that everything new seems better and better.

The sounds in this game are really poor, and from what they've shown, Spartan Ops looks really bland.

With that said....I'm still getting this...because it's Halo. My expectations are not high.
