Microsoft Partner Registers XboxEvent Domain, April Reveal Expected

Sony blew the lid off of the next generation of gaming with the reveal of the PlayStation 4 just a couple days ago, which apparently put the guys over at Microsoft on their heels.

One Sony official who wished to remain nameless told CVG that they had heard that the event "at first caught Microsoft off-guard," adding that they "definitely ruffled some feathers." According to the outlet, there's talk of an April event in which Microsoft will debut its new console.

It was also discovered (via NeoGAF) that event planner Eventcore has registered the domain The company has worked with Microsoft in the past, so it's clear that the Big M is gearing up for something quite large in the very near future.
