Microsoft Readies Arcade NEXT For XBLA

Posted on Thursday, March 22 @ 10:59:58 Eastern by

Microsoft's Major Neslon has announced a new Xbox LIVE Arcade promotion, similar to the annual Summer of Arcade, called Arcade NEXT.

Starting on April 18th, each Wednesday through May 9th, a new Xbox LIVE Arcade title will be released. But unlike the Summer of Arcade, there is no bonus for purchasing all four titles.

However, starting with these four Arcade NEXT titles, all XBLA games will include up to 400 Gamerscore and up to 30 Achievements to unlock. Typically, Xbox LIVE Arcade games topped out at 200 Gamerscore.

Here are the four titles, their price and release dates:
  • April 18th: Trials Evolution - 1200 MS Points
  • April 25th: Bloodforge - 1200 MS Points
  • May 2nd: Fable Heroes - 800 MS Points
  • May 9th: Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition - 1600 MS Points
