Microsoft Registers Domain for 'Halo Infinity'

Posted on Wednesday, April 4 @ 09:41:28 Eastern by Alex_Osborn
Hey all you Halophiles, it looks like Microsoft has got something extra-special in store for fans of their prized sci-fi franchise. According to a recent report from Fusible, it appears that the company has registered a slew of different domain names, each bearing 'Halo Infinity' in the title. In addition to domains like HaloInfinity.net (Whois), HaloInfinity.org, and HaloInfinity.co.uk, they also went ahead and registered HaloInfinityMultiplayer.net, HaloInfinityMultiplayer.org, and HaloInfinityMultiplayer.co.uk.

Believe it or not, there's more... but I think you get the idea.

Those that are familiar with the PC port of Halo: Combat Evolved will immediately recognize 'Infinity' as being one of the game's exclusive maps. Chances are this is no coincidence, so there's a strong possibility that this could signal the inclusion of the classic PC map for the Halo: CEA audience. It is also worth noting that several other domain names were privately registered by MarkMonitor, including spartanops.org and Morethanjustamap.com.

Microsoft hasn't announced anything just yet, and since all of the domains were registered privately, we can't confirm that this was done by the company. However, it is worth noting that Microsoft.com is registered through MarkMonitor, so yeah, it's probably Microsoft.

So who's excited for a massive Halo overload now that 343i is spearheading the franchise? Yeah... I thought so.

i liked most of the original books and stuff that dealt with the spartans. the reclaimer series was not what i had hoped and i gave it up after the first book... hopefully this new series will be more compelling...
