Undead Lab's zombie-infested action title has finally hit XBLA. Is it worth a few of your precious Microsoft Points, or should you whack it over the head with a two-by-four and continue on your merry way?

E3: PC or rather about the lack of it

E3 2013 has been very silent for me. There's tons of media, but most of it buzzes past my ears without them catching the important keyword that my ears are fine tuned to receive: "PC" or "Personal Computer". Microsoft, Sony, EA and Ubisoft have all shown their cards...

Microsoft Surface Can Run PC Games, Civ V

Posted on Tuesday, June 19 @ 08:10:31 Eastern by

Last night, Microsoft pulled back the curtain on their new iPad killer, the Microsoft Surface. The 10.6-inch tablet will run Windows 8 and feature specs that will give Apple its first real run for its money as an iPad competitor. Microsoft, however, didn't delve into specifics about gaming.

Still, Eric Neustadter of Xbox Live Operations claims that Surface can run PC games thanks to the Windows 8 OS, and that Surface will be the "greatest Civilization-playing device known to mankind". He also adds that "the iPad can't play Civ 4 or Civ 5".

It's still early, and with Microsoft currently leading the home console market, more official details on how gaming will fit in with Surface are sure to follow in the coming weeks. For now, at least according to Neustadter, Surface will run current PC games.

Tell GR: If Surface can indeed run PC games, would you consider buying it?

This. It might be just like a laptop, but that doesn't mean it'll have the battery life.

Yeah I would strongly consider buying one. Especially if it can run PC games and still access the Windows marketplace for apps.

There are windows 7 tablets out there. We have them at work because they run all of our programs we have created over the years. Besides the battery life it plays the few games we tried out of curiosity pretty great. I would think since win8 is supposed to actually be somewhat optimized for tablets that it will have a bit better battery life.

As long as the price isn't ridiculous then I can see me buying one of these.
