Microsoft: Xbox One Will Have "More Than 10-Year Journey"

Posted on Thursday, September 26 @ 07:02:41 Eastern by Alex_Osborn

According to Microsoft's Phil Harrison, Xbox One will be supported for many, many years after it is released this November.

During the corporate VP's speech at the Eurogamer Expo, Harrison said bluntly that the company is embarking on a "more than 10-year journey" with Xbox One. Thanks to advantages like the power of the cloud, Microsoft expects to extend the life of its next-gen console beyond a game console's typical lifespan.

Are you looking forward to longer console generations? The Xbox 360 is going on eight years now, which is no small feat. Do you think new features like the cloud will really help extend the life of Xbox One? Comment below and let us know.
