Middle-Aged Man Strangles Child After Losing at Call of Duty: Black Ops

Posted on Friday, September 30 @ 10:52:28 Eastern by

As reported by the Daily Mail in the UK, Mark Bradford, 46, 'lost it' when an unnamed 13-year-old killed him and berated him "and just would not shut up" in Call of Duty: Black Ops.

Being a loosely connected friend of the kid's family, the unemployed father of three then stormed over to the youngster's house and placed both his hands around the boy's throat until the teenager's mother, 33, pulled him off.

The boy was startled by the sudden ambush:

I was just sat playing. We’d had a bit of a joke and then he stormed in and grabbed me. I didn’t know what was going on.

The mother said it best:

It’s pathetic that a grown man would attack a defenseless child like this. If you can’t handle losing to a child then you shouldn’t be playing games.

Bradford, who admits to one count of assault and must return to court on October 24, regrets his "moment of madness":

I'd been playing the whole day and he was baiting me and baiting me and just would not shut up.

He went on and on and I just lost it. I hold my hands up, I lost the plot. In a moment of madness I went round to his house. I didn't know what I was going to do.

It wasn't malice. I just grabbed him. I've seen him since and apologized. We've played online too. He's actually a decent kid.

But just to point it out, Call of Duty: Black Ops carries an 18 guidance certificate.

No, what's pathetic is the mother was home and she paid no mind to what her 13-year-old was saying to the guy.

This. 8 just mute everyone at the start of the match. The stuff that comes out of some kid's mouths these days is a bit shocking. Not that I condone the man's actions, but I bet that kid learned a valuble lesson.

Yeah, don’t mouth off to somebody who knows where you live! He’ll be the exact same little twerp as always with no changes to what he says or does.

This and many other problems with the internet and online games could be solved if people under the age of 16 (highschool age) were not able to write, vocalise, and otherwise publish comments or other material.

Said the 15 year old GR member. Really it doesn’t matter how old someone is a jerk is a jerk. TheJx4 maybe young, but he acts more mature than some thirty-something’s I’ve known.

Maybe not 16, but definitely yeah. There should be a competency test they have to pass, or something.

Guys, are we serious? Kids are ****ing retarded. They are going to talk ****. Doesn't give this ****ing winner the right to strangle him. Unemployed father of three? Maybe if this guy tried a bit harder to get a job, he wouldn't be spending time listening to demon spawn PWN him in CoD Black Ops. NOOOOB.

A couple of months ago when I started playing Black Ops (first time playing a console FPS) I was with my cousin (an addict to this game) and the first thing he taught me was how to mute people.

Best piece of advice he ever game me and one someone should have given this poor dark soul.

Your cousin was very wise to show you how to mute people out in the game first.

I don't care what the kid say, he should've been the better person and just walked away from it. Kids are stupid, we all know that, just ignore them. We all said, and did, stupid things when we were young.
