Millenium Girl Finds International Labyrinths

Posted on Monday, July 15 @ 06:44:38 Eastern by Heath_Hindman

Recently released to great success in Japan, Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millenium Girl will also be making its way to North America. Atlus USA today announced that the 3DS-exclusive RPG will arrive in stores and on the Nintendo eShop on October 1 and sell for $39.99.

The Etrian Odyssey series is a first-person dungeon crawling RPG series famous for its punishing diffiulty. In past installments, players have been able to build and customize their parties, but The Millenium Girl introduces the series to "story mode," which brings in defined characters and more detail about the world of Etria. Aside from that, it's a twist on the original Etrian Odyssey (which appeard on the first DS).

The series has evolved quite a bit since its birth, and the gameplay enhancements found in Etrian Odyssey IV now serve to make re-exploring the original a slightly less painful experience. You can see the game's official website here.
