Modern Warfare 3 Gameplay Trailer Enters WW3

Posted on Monday, May 23 @ 20:40:34 Eastern by

That's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3's gameplay debut above. You don't need to watch basketball or soccer. You can find it right here on Game Revolution. The trailer visits the same locales we saw in teaser trailers last week. While Modern Warfare 3's trailer seems to look like... well, Modern Warfare 2 on a bigger scale, it came with all of the bombast and action of an Activision-published trailer.

My thoughts? The shots of New York City were kind of compelling. As tired as NYC is in gaming, you know Call of Duty will put quite the spin on it. I'll also say that the World War 3 moniker was unexpected but hopefully Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games will back it up with an unprecedented amount of action.

A lot more Modern Warfare 3 information will make its way out during E3 2011. Game Revolution will be there with the latest trailers, impressions, and more. Check out our E3 2011 tag page for the latest.

    MW3 and Battlefield 3 are both shaping up to be awesome games, they need to release a true gameplay trailer for MW3 soon, I'm interested in seeing how it actually looks...

    Battlefield looks better in my opinion. But I'm sure MW3 will be amazing also.

    @Swolern: Agreed.
    @Ananymous: Yeah, I'd like to see something like Battlefield 3's 14 minute gameplay trailer, but CoD doesn't typically do that type of marketing.

    I've never been so unexcited for a COD. Seriously, I hate Treyarch, but at least that game kinda gave me hope to be decent. Of course those bastards just screwed me over on that one. Can't wait until next year for the REAL IW game!!

    I haven't played a cod game since Call of Duty 2. I was pretty much tired of the formula back then. Games like Bioshock, F.E.A.R. 2, Singularity etc. seem way more interesting to me.

    I don't think I'll spend any money on this. Bad enough I purchased CoD: BO.

    It looks very promising, and if the trailer is any indication at all of how the game will look graphically, it looks very nice (in my opinion, anyway). I'll keep my fingers crossed for it, but until I see some actual gameplay I'm not jumping to any conclusions just yet.

    UGH - You CANNOT compaire CoD: BO to any MWF game ... Treyarch are behind Black Ops and World at War (which sucked), Infinity Ward is behind MWF games (which are sweet). I too was pissed off at the **** they called Black Ops, which has now lead me to only purchase Infinity Ward titles. Rethink!

    I'll buy it as long as the veteran difficulty isn't too difficult.

    Awesome, now it's time disappear for a few months.

    On an urelated note, MW3 looks decent; I'll probably get it. I enjoyed MW and MW2.

    CRYSIS 2's hardest difficulty is a better singleplayer experience than CoD4's. The problem is, in CoD, they allow people to shoot at you even if they aren't aimed at you.
