Modern Warfare 3 Prestige Edition Goes AWOL

The breaking-news Twitter torch has been passed from Sony's Shuhei Yoshida to Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling as confirmation comes through on the Prestige Edition of Modern Warfare 3. What could possibly come packaged in? Maybe a real working missile launcher! Maybe a nuclear-warhead launch submarine! Maybe some soap from the Russian Gulag Captain Price broke out of!

Nope, nothing. There'll be no Prestige Edition for Modern Warfare 3. Obviously Activision wants gamers to get hooked on Call of Duty Elite. You'll have to show off your stupidity Call of Duty fandom with the $100 Hardened Package.

    I was serious you seen to be the most excited about MW3 of all the GR regulars. I thought you might know why it’s called Hardened edition and not just plain old vanilla collectors’ edition. BTW which edition are you getting?

    It relates to the game. (Also...there's nothing to collect, really)

    Hardened soldier, one of the difficulties is Hardened, things like that.
    Same reason why Resistance 3 had a Doomsday Edition.

    I was going to get the Hardened edition, but I pre-ordered long before it was announced and I think GS might be out of them. Really, I'm buying MW3 for the Campaign/Spec-Ops. MP is a bonus.
