More Vita Titles Announced; Massive First-Party Launch Prepped

Posted on Tuesday, November 22 @ 13:27:11 Eastern by
Sony is preparing for the PlayStation Vita launch like they're preparing for a war. They've got heavy artillery cocked and aimed on all fronts. But it's only now that they're pulling out the special, secret weapons.

Enough of the nonsense war talk, and on to the games. Today, Zipper Interactive, the developers behind SOCOM and the 256-player MAG, have announced a third-person shooter for the PlayStation Vita. It's a good thing, too - the Vita has a ton of games in the works, but very few in the way of tactical shooters. Unit 13 will fill that void nicely.

Another Sony first-party staple developer, Evolution Studios, have unveiled another iteration in the Motorstorm series. But this time, it's an off-road RC racing game. Motorstorm RC is a clever and fun take on Motorstorm, and even though it's quite fitting for the PlayStation Vita, it'll also be available on the PSN for the PS3.

Unit 13 will miss the PlayStation Vita launch, but will still make the endlessly non-specific "launch window". However, Motorstorm RC will indeed make the launch, along with these other PlayStation Vita titles:
  • Uncharted: Golden Abyss
  • WipEout 2048
  • Reality Fighters
  • Little Deviants
  • ModNation Racers: Road Trip
  • Hot Shots Golf
  • Escape Plan
  • Gravity Rush
  • Hustle Kings
  • MotorStorm RC
  • Top Darts
  • Super StarDust Delta

Is that...hair? Wtf is that on his head.

Unit 13 seems to be set up for failure. 2 player co-op only. Relies on social one-uppmanship.
Graphics are Gameloft quality. Still gonna get it. trololol
