Mortal Kombat Screenshot Leaks Full Roster
Posted on Monday, March 28 @ 11:46:31 Eastern by Daniel Bischoff
Mortal Kombat's reputation for keeping things secret isn't standing up very well to the internet age. I'm sure there's still plenty of unlock and discover in the retail build of Mortal Kombat later in April but the game is springing several leaks.
Obviously we've already seen the roster list in text form but a screenshot from Neogaf reveals every fighter and their positions on select screen. If you're still not satisfied by reading or even leaked DLC characters here's the screenshot for your eyeballs:
It has all the characters people want to play as, and they've really trimmed the fat when it comes to (in my opinion) some of the lamer characters from past installments. I'm also pretty stoked at the return to 2D fighting. Other developers should take note that this is how pandering to the fans is SUPPOSE to be done. If I had the cash I'd pre-order a dozen copies.
I never really like 3D fighting. I realize that's how Tekken and Virtua Fighter made their names but it was never supposed to revolutionize the fighting game genre.
@Daniel: Pretty much my thoughts exactly. Mortal Kombats 1-3 were fantastic. When they introduced this 3D movement and environment crap in MK4, I started losing interest in the series because I saw it shifting into the same style as the aforementioned Tekken and Virtua Fighter games (neither of which I'm a huge fan of). I was also much more content when you didn't have to switch between 50 different fighting styles during a match, but that's just me. My faith in the series has been somewhat restored from what I've seen/heard of this new one though.
