Grid 2 surprised me. I was going through the motions, getting used to the cars and their handling, when suddenly something happened. I started having fun.

Undead Lab's zombie-infested action title has finally hit XBLA. Is it worth a few of your precious Microsoft Points, or should you whack it over the head with a two-by-four and continue on your merry way?

E3: PC or rather about the lack of it

E3 2013 has been very silent for me. There's tons of media, but most of it buzzes past my ears without them catching the important keyword that my ears are fine tuned to receive: "PC" or "Personal Computer". Microsoft, Sony, EA and Ubisoft have all shown their cards...

Navy SEALs Disciplined For Sharing Too Much To EA For MOH: Warfighter

Posted on Friday, November 9 @ 08:25:46 Eastern by Alex_Osborn

Electronic Arts and Danger Close made it clear right from the outset that they were going for authenticity in Medal of Honor: Warfighter, so they spoke to seven US Navy SEALs for guidance. It appears that by serving as consultants on the game, the military group of was in direct violation of their code: "SEALs are silent warriors who shun the spotlight."

But things only get worse, as it is believed that the SEALs provided EA with classified information. I know next to nothing about the military, but even I know that's a big NO NO. According to CBS, the seven SEALs are still on active duty and one of them was involved in the raid that killed Osama bin Laden.

The United States Department of Defense provided Polygon with the following update:

A non-judicial punishment hearing was conducted yesterday, Nov. 7 and seven Naval Special Warfare (NSW) personnel faced administrative proceedings. An additional NSW investigation is ongoing to determine if more personnel may be involved.

They are being charged with violation of Article 92: Orders violation, misuse of command gear and violation of Article 92: Dereliction of duty, disclosure of classified material.

Two Senior Chief Special Operators and five Chief Special Operators received the punishment. They received a punitive letter of reprimand and forfeiture of ½ month's pay for two months.

And you know what the worst part about this whole situation is? The game wasn't even good!

Their punishment is pretty much nothing for what they were charged with. If anything, it's a publicity stunt from the CO of whatever unit they're in because he was butthurt for not being included.

When I was in, it was totally normal for guys to get half pay for 3 months, be forced to go to AA meetings on base, get restricted to base (or even the barracks) and lose rank for a simple drinking ticket. If someone was serious about these guys disclosing classified materials, they would be in a brig somewhere with no rank and no pay. Someone is making a big deal out of this because they're an ******* and they can, and people like that are why I got out after four and haven't looked back.

And by drinking ticket, I mean drinking under the age of 21. I have no sympathy for people that drink and drive.

Thanks for the perspective! This is just bull **** then. Seems like someone is trying to drum up controversy on base to move a few units at the BX.

I haven't played the game, but I highly doubt it contains an classified material. Most everything is public knowledge/common sense. You can download the schematics for just about every piece of equipment in the US military.

Furthermore, what's surprising to me is this kind of response is something the command would do to a lower enlisted regular soldier, like a private in a regular unit. Special Forces soldiers are pretty much untouchable in the military, so this kind of reaction does definitely scream jealousy.

"SEALs are silent warriors who shun the spotlight."

And THAT'S why they starred in a movie about themselves.
