NBA Baller Beats Debut Trailer Bounces In, I'm Still Confused

Posted on Wednesday, April 25 @ 15:42:48 Eastern by

Maybe you also noticed something missing from the debut trailer, voiced by rapper Common, of NBA Baller Beats above: Where's the gameplay footage?! Of course, this is just a teaser trailer and, to its name, it does its job.

This new Kinect title by Majesco and HB Studios is meant to be a fitness-based rhythm game where players must bounce a ball in time with the rhythm (without breaking everything in their living room). The Kinect tracks both the player and the ball to ensure that the player performs the correct move, like crossovers and pump fakes. Hopefully, the game conquers the inherent lag issues of the device.

Conceptually, NBA Baller Beats will improve the player's fundamental dribbling skills, and some parents with kids who play b-ball will likely see this as a good idea for a video game. I won't want to be a table lamp, though.

NBA Baller Beats will arrive for Xbox 360 this Fall, with more to be revealed this coming E3.

I bet the only guy who thought this was a good idea was the one who approved the Wiimote wrist strap.

as a fellow "balla" (yeh wuddup gee?!) I have to ask what kind of ball is that guy using that you can dribble on the carpet? So now I need a Kinect and to have hardwood floors installed in my living room?

If someone wants to nominate this for R-T, I'll take it.
