New Alan Wake Heads to XBLA

Posted on Friday, May 20 @ 18:27:36 Eastern by

I liked Alan Wake. It was spooky, it didn't rely on cheap scares, had some pretty awesome writing and... almost... lived up to the promises Remedy made during the game's development. Hey, couldn't beat that Sam Lake cameo either, right?

The prospect of more Alan Wake has me all turned around though. I was pretty satisfied with the way the game ended. I didn't even play any of the DLC because I was so happy with the conclusion Wake reached. Still, I might be enticed by an Xbox Live Arcade game. They don't require nearly as much investment and they can turn satisfaction into a very quick turn.

Rumor has it that Alan Wake: Night Springs will make its way to Xbox Live Arcade. Screen caps are out there too but the source of this rumor isn't showing them. You GODDAM teases!

The rumor that Alan Wake will head to XBLA fits with Remedy's earlier statements that:

Fans of the franchise will be excited to learn that yes, more Wake is coming! But to be absolutely certain to avoid confusion, this next Wake installment will not be Alan Wake 2. And neither will it be DLC.
