New BioShock Infinite Commercial Adds Fuel To The Hype Train

The marketing machine is now in full swing for BioShock Infinite, as the game is set to release next Tuesday. This weekend, Irrational Games revealed the title's fancy new CG commercial that's chock-full of a whole lot of action.

As expected, it features Booker, Elizabeth, and the monstrous creature known as Handyman, all set against the gorgeous backdrop that is Columbia. I don't know about you, but I would have been perfectly content with actual in-engine footage rather than flowery CG that isn't particularly representative of the final product. Was it just me or did Booker and Elizabeth look a little off?

BioShock Infinite launches on March 26th for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.

    I saw this last night. It hypes the game pretty well for non-gamers, but anyone that's been expecting Infinite will feel a bit let down. But then again, who is Irrational marketing to, the fanboys that pre-ordered months ago, or the frat boys that haven't played anything outside the CoD franchise since Duke Nukem: Forever?

    Saw this while watching The Walking Dead last night. It is a pretty commercial, but I completely agree that there should have been at least some game play footage.

    I'm not hyping this game at all, I'll be waiting for a review here before I do anything. I'm waiting for the game that comes out the same day, PGA 14.

    I'm always wary of a game that uses CGI instead of gameplay in its commercials.

    FUG! I just found out that I will not have the money to preorder this on Steam, thus no free XCOM.

    This sucks big time. If only I hadn't needed a new router.
