New Gears Of War Game Announced

Game Informer had their monthly cover reveal this morning, and lo and behold, it's for a new Gears of War game. We have no info about the game beyond the cover, but we won't have long to wait to hear the news either. Epic Games plans to "officially" reveal the new chapter in Gears at the Microsoft press conference on Monday morning at E3. You have no idea how upset I am that I didn't get in that press conference.

The Game Informer issue regarding this game will also release on Monday, which is not a coincidence.

The fact that a Gear is in handcuffs on the cover makes me believe that this story surrounds Marcus's arrest. Considering the last Gears of War book released last month regarding this piece of Marcus's history, it makes sense. However, I'm really hoping for a story about the Pendulum Wars, such as the battle for Aspho Fields when Dom's brother was killed.

Guess I'll find out Monday with everyone else!

    Lol, took the words outta my mouth. I was thinking that after Gears 3 that they were gonna do some sort of Pendulum Wars thing. Or maybe even "Halo Wars" type of deal. Gears RTS...wouldn't be too bad.

    Agreed. If this is an RTS (which it won't be) I'll take back all the horrible things I've thought about it in my head.

    It may very well be the Pendulum Wars, but then the Horde appears in the end. Maybe the whole time your character is trying to investigate their creation.
