Finally Broke My Crowdfunding Rule
By oblivion437
Posted on 01/12/15
I've had a long-standing rule to avoid getting involved in any sort of crowdfunded activities.  I didn't donate to Shadowrun or Wasteland, but I did buy and enjoy both of them (I'm plugging both of those games right now, just so you know they're good).  I haven't...

New Grand Theft Auto V Footage For Those Willing To Take The Pledge Of Epsilon

Posted on Monday, April 22 @ 12:29:57 Eastern by

This video was taken from Rockstar's website where it plays on loop, cycling the pledge and tenets of Epsilon, like how you'll never live a happy life unless you turn over your wallet and believe Epsiolonism.... or else you're doomed.

This isn't the first time the developer has teased Scientology among other religions in a Grand Theft Auto game,  but there is new information about GTA V buried within. The first and most obvious point of interest is the time-lapse video of the Los Santos environment. Beaches, cliffs, water effects... I am absolutely dying to see gameplay and it appears we won't have to wait long.

The post on the Rockstar newswire blog states that "The Episolon Program does not exist in just one time or place. We invite you to visit one of our enlightenment centers." It continues "Directions will be provided in one week's time."

While it's easily my most anticipated game of 2013, I'm prepared for the inevitable marketing onslaught behind gaming's most dominant franchise. Who needs to publish a game in the series every year to crush the market? What remains to be seen is whether or not Rockstar will release Grand Theft Auto V on next-generation consoles and when, if ever, will the PC version arrive.
