New Legend of Zelda to Commemorate 25th Anniversary

Posted on Thursday, June 2 @ 07:30:24 Eastern by

According to a rough translation by P-Nintendo, Legend of Zelda series producer, Eiji Aonuma, spoke about a new game that will be revealed at E3 during a Japanese TV appearance this week.

The details are extremely scarce, so it's not at all clear if this is an entirely new game, a remake, or a compilation similar to what was done with Super Mario Bros' 25th anniversary (this is the likely scenario). While we think it's purely a compilation of the NES classics, Nintendo will be showing their new console for the very first time, and a new Zelda  announced for the console would surely steal the show.

Nintendo's E3 Press Conference kicks of at 10:00AM PDT on Tuesday, June 7th. Be sure to watch our live blog of the conference to find out the exact details on this 25th anniversary edition of The Legend of Zelda.

Hopefully it will be a compilation that will be bundled with their new console.

Well, if it's anything like the Nintendo 25th anniversary, it will be in very limited quantities.
