New Rage Gameplay Videos Ask "What's a Doom 4?"

I'll let the above trailers speak for themselves. Clearly id Software knows how to make a first person shooter. It also seems like they've been taking some pointers from their new partners at Bethesda. Is that some looting I spy? Even some of the clubbing animations remind me of some super mutants I used to know in the Wasteland. Of course, it could just be that Rage has super mutants too....

    Looks cool, but has a real Borderlands atmosphere to it.

    Was that PC or console footage? At any rate, it looked absolutely gorgeous, the gameplay seems to be extremely fluid, and the weapons (especially the boomerang blade thing) all look like they know how to have a good time. If I had picked up this game without seeing Bethesda's or Id's names written on the box, I wouldn't have been the least bit surprised to find out that they each had a hand in the production.
