New South Park: The Game Screenshots Look like South Park

Posted on Monday, January 9 @ 08:54:20 Eastern by

It's really quite remarkable that the game looks the way it does. Everyone's seen PlayStation and Nintendo 64 era South Park. It looked like ass. These screens look like they were torn from an episode of the show.

It's almost as if Obsidian and South Park Studios were working together.... Oh, they are? Well it's like Matt and Trey were working side by side with the developer on the game.... Oh... they are? Fine, just look at the rest of the screens then.

South Park: The Game is scheduled for release later this year on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.

This looks really incredible. True to the show, and I love the idea of Paper Mario RPG gameplay. South Park is always at its best when it focuses on the kids being kids; imagining fantasy battles and being grounded in the reality of South Park.

A longer, more in depth, interactive South Park. Finally get to decide what game to buy without having to choose between the giant douche or the turd sandwhich.
