New Star Wars Game Confirmed, Reveal Coming Next Week

Just yesterday, word got out that LucasArts was planning to reveal an unannounced game at E3, but the publisher wouldn't confirm whether or not this new title would in fact be tied to the Star Wars universe. Now, thanks to a tease by GTTV's Geoff Keighley, it looks like the aforementioned game will in fact be a Star Wars title, as GameTrailers is set to reveal a brand-new Star Wars game from Lucas next Thursday.

The overenthusiastic GameTrailers host had nothing but amazing - albeit ambiguous - things to say about the game. "I am blown away by both the caliber of the team on this project and their bold vision for this new 'Star Wars' title. I can't wait to introduce our viewers to this game and show off the footage that left my jaw on the floor when I first saw it," Keighley said.

While I'm sure the majority of you are holding out hope for Battlefront 3, the way the teaser is phrased, it sounds like LucasArts is launching a completely new Star Wars series. But hey, you never know, there still may be hope.

    If they could only bring back the magic that was Knights of the Old Republic...and the recent MMO doesn't count.

    Agreed, another solid single player experience would be awesome. Although I really wouldn't complain if it was Battlefront since I didn't get as much of a chance to enjoy those as I wanted.

    apparently lucas arts just bought the name Star Wars 1313 which is a referance to a boba fett novel so we may be getting a bounty hunter game

    Maybe 1313 is just the year the game takes place. The Star Wars gang time travel into the future...and another galaxyto do something related to history or something.
