New Tropico 5 Trailer Shows Multiplayer Mode And Gameplay

Posted on Friday, May 9 @ 12:00:00 PST by

Kalypso and El Presidente have revealed the latest trailer for Tropico 5, detailing the game's competitive and cooperative multiplayer modes.

Tropicois all about running your own remote island nation, so naturally when another player tries to step on your turf you're going to get allup in arms about it. Unfortunately, you'll be sharing the island so it's not like you can really go to town with the explosives. The trailer above shows off the way Tropico 5 organizes conflicts and the different units you can command.

El Presidente promises that players will face "an all-new set of challenges, including advanced trading mechanics, technology and scientific research and for the first time in Tropico history—cooperative and competitive multiplayer for up to 4 players."

We'll have a chance to play a large chunk of Tropico 5 soon, so look out for hands-on coverage on GameRevolution.
