NGP Officially Named Vita, Handheld Priced, Given Release Window

Posted on Monday, June 6 @ 20:31:14 Eastern by Sebastian_Moss
After asking users about what would be the best name for the NGP trademarking a name that no one seemed to like, Sony has gone ahead and officially renamed the device the PlayStation Vita. Along with the name comes news of a price and a general release time frame.

The Vita, meaning Life, will release "this holiday season" and will be available for $249 for the standard Wi-Fi model and $299 for the 3G model.

In Europe, PlayStation Vita will be €249.99 (£223) for the Wi-Fi model and €299.99 (£268) for 3G.

It's supposed to be read "After trademarking a name...", so there isn't a comma.
