Nintendo Brings Happy Meals Toys to McDonald’s

Nintendo UK has announced that Mario and the gang will be appearing in McDonald's Happy Meals. The toys will be available from March 19th to April 29th, and will include iconic characters like Donkey Kong, Toad, Luigi, and, of course, the aforementioned Mario.

No word yet on if the toys will be available outside of the UK, but I'd imagine North American folks would be included in on this action as well.

Earlier this year, Nintendo's Satoru Iwata assured investors that the company would be making more of an effort to generate awareness of Nintendo's iconic characters through licensing deals, and this is clearly a step in the right direction. At least... let's hope.

So... who's planning on taking a shameless trip to Mickey D's?
