Undead Lab's zombie-infested action title has finally hit XBLA. Is it worth a few of your precious Microsoft Points, or should you whack it over the head with a two-by-four and continue on your merry way?

E3: PC or rather about the lack of it

E3 2013 has been very silent for me. There's tons of media, but most of it buzzes past my ears without them catching the important keyword that my ears are fine tuned to receive: "PC" or "Personal Computer". Microsoft, Sony, EA and Ubisoft have all shown their cards...

Nintendo Power Goes Retro With Its Final Issue

Posted on Friday, November 30 @ 09:50:13 Eastern by Alex_Osborn
The very last issue of Nintendo Power will be hitting newsstands in just a few days, and its cover art is totally awesome. Check out the old-school style that was clearly inspired by the publication's first issue.

For reference, here's the cover of the very first issue, which was released all the way back in 1988.

Seeing that final cover bring things full circle makes me a little sad, as it's finally starting to settle in that there will never be another issue of Nintendo Power.

Feel free to reminisce in the comments below.

After Nintendo Power got dropped off at a different publisher, I kinda knew it would never be the same again. I miss NP's monthly sweepstakes, the limited offers/bonuses (The Zelda collection disc, Metroid Prime 2 demo disc, etc), the catalogs, etc.

I had been a subscriber since 1996 and I will miss the magazine.

I want one. If you don't have a subscription do you have to find one in-store?

Sad to say until the news broke not too long ago that they were going to be publishing their final issue, Nintendo Power had fallen off my radar to the point I didn't know it still existed.

A bit sad to see it go, but until I heard that it was about to stop publishing, I would have assumed it no longer existed.
Back in the day, NP was the best place to get game secrets and maps. This may surprise some of the young'ns on this site, but the web didn't exist when NP started printing (the internet did exist in a form you wouldn't recognize, but few people had even heard of it).

It's remarkable that NP survived so long in the internet age. Well done, but we all knew you had to hit a kill screen eventually.

When I was in elementary school, I'd read NP all the time. Feel kind of bad for letting it get away from me. So Long NP.
