Nintendo Slashes Wii Price, Includes Both Wii Sports Titles

Posted on Monday, October 15 @ 12:45:12 PST by Alex_Osborn

In case you don't already have Nintendo's motion-heavy toy console and for some odd reason want one this holiday season, you'll be able to purchase a Wii for just $129.99.

The new bundle includes all the regular stuff (console, Wiimote, cables, etc.) plusWii Sports andWii Sports Resort. This move by Nintendo makes perfect sense in light of the fact that they're launching a new console this November. This package will be made available starting October 28th for all in the US.
“Nearly six years after it launched, people are still attracted to the pure, inclusive fun of the Wii console. A new suggested retail price and the inclusion of two great games make it an easy choice for families looking for a great value this holiday season,” said Nintendo of America's Scott Moffitt.

What do you think? Is $129.99 going to help the Wii sell through the holiday season? Sound off with your thoughts in the comments below.
