Nintendo's PAX Prime Plans Include Playable Pokémon X & Y

Posted on Wednesday, August 21 @ 14:44:27 Eastern by

PAX Prime just got that much more exciting for Nintendo fans like me, eager to get hands-on with the next-generation Pokémon games, X & Y, but that's not all Nintendo will have for hands-on in Seattle.

The panel "Inside The Wonderful 101 with Hideki Kamiya" gives fans the chance to interact with the game's creator and action-genre definer... uhhh, Hideki Kamiya. Obviously, it's in the title. What's not obvious is that it's happening in the Pegasus Theater in the Sheraton at 5 pm on Sunday. If you get there you can meet Wonder Red and get a mask so you can join as a member of the Wonderful 100.

Additionally, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD and The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds will have their own lounge where you can get quests to go around the convention center like the little Kokiri you are. Pikmin 3 will be playable, as well as games that aren't out yet like Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze, Super Mario 3D World, Bayonetta 2, Sonic Lost World, The Wonderful 101, Batman Arkham Origins Blackgate, and much, much, more.

You can bet I'll be hanging out around there. I thought that I'd spend my whole Sunday or Monday in the booth, but then some of the exclusive swag they have on offer will be sold out! Better make it first thing Friday morning....
